What we do.

The JobFishing website, is designed and maintained to help South African jobseekers land gainful employment.  It is here to assist them with the skills and the tools they need to succeed in this challenging task.

The old story, give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime, is the basis or our philosophy.

Unemployment is rife in this country, but you just need to look on any of the e-recruitment sites, or any of the job sections of the newspapers, and you will see hundreds and often thousands of vacancies, advertised week after week.  Why is that?  It is not because the JobSeekers don't have the skills to do the job... it is because they simply don't know how to apply for and land the job effectively.  This site exists to help JobSeekers overcome this problem.

Many companies are are generously sponsoring learnerships and bursaries to provide the South African population with the skills they need to become economically active.  What these learners are not taught is how to go about bridging the gap between knowledge and experience.  They are not taught how to apply for and land that elusive job offer.

This site is completely privately funded.  It is not the intention of those involved in this venture to make money through this website.  The intention is to give something back.  This having been said, if you would like to make a small donation to offset the cost of the hosting and maintaining of this site, please do so here.  Many thanks.

Thank you to the following companies for their support.
